Overnight Camping at Shalom Inn in Shenandoah, VA. For kids ages 9-12. Join us for 5 days and 4 nights of fun, food and worshiping the Lord! | |
We will hike up Hawksbill Mountain, swim in Lake Arrowhead, canoe down the Shenandoah, gaze at the stars, find our way through a gigantic garden maze, and hear the Singing Tower. There will also be crafts & games, worship, Bible study and lots of good food. Cost is $115 which includes all meals, activities, crafts, tee-shirts. Bring $10 spending money. Country Jamboree Wednesday, July 8 we will kick-off our summer with a Country Jamboree! There will be live bluegrass music and activities for everyone to enjoy.... a water slide and water games for the kids (don't forget to bring your bathing suits), a cake walk and country games for all ages. Come at 6:30 P.M. for hotdogs and burgers on the grill, watermelon and lots of fun. This event is free, but we do ask that you bring a side dish to share and call the church office, 703-961-1040, for reservations for dinner.

| King David Coming to Shepherd Gate! |
King David, which finishes its run off-broadway on June 27 will be coming live to Shepherd Gate on Wednesday, July 15 at 7:15 P.M. See a clip and description of the musical here. The epic story of King David comes alive. Expertly revealing the hilarious craziness of humanity, the script is adapted word-for-word from the Hebrew Scriptures, and it will take your breath away at its moving portrayal of King David's trials - those experiences that inspired him to write the most beloved lyrics in history, now set to beautiful, original music by Ellen Sanborn and David M. Sanborn, composers of the international hit musical, "Judah Ben-Hur" which is slated for Broadway next year. David Sanborn has enthralled hundreds of thousands of people with his portrayals of ancient heroes. Don't miss your chance to see him in King David live. The show is free, but reservations are required (make reservations below). A love offering will be taken. |
| Vaction Bible School is Coming |
UPDATE: VBS IS WAITLIST ONLY July 6th - July 10th
This year's program is Fix Your Eyes on Jesus. From 9am to Noon, children will get to play games, participate in drama, make arts and crafts, and learn some Bible basics. Looks to be as fantastic as it always is.
