On May 22, 2006 the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced predictions for an above normal hurricane season for the North Atlantic and efforts to prepare for this year's storms are already underway.
Yet almost a year after Hurricane Katrina ripped through southeast Louisiana, essential supplies are still needed to survive and recover from last year's storm. Any financial contributions made out to Shepherd Gate Church and noted for hurricane relief will be distributed to Joy Fellowship Church in Slidell, LA which continues relief efforts in the greater New Orleans area. Please pray for the ministry at Joy Fellowship and for the many people who are still trying to recover from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
