Women of Grace Women’s Ministry
They still are. That’s why Shepherd Gate Church emphasizes women’s ministry. We want to see every woman free to become all God wants her to be. Whether single, married, divorced, young or old, we encourage every woman to follow Jesus and experience the fulfillment only He can bring.
The goal of the Women’s Ministry is to draw women closer to Jesus Christ through worship, the study of His Word, prayer, and meaningful fellowship with one another. It is in Christ that each of us finds healing, restoration, and purpose. We carry that message into our families and communities bringing others into fellowship and the saving knowledge of Christ!
Here are some of the special activities for women at Shepherd Gate Church:
Ladies’ Bible Study
Each Wednesday morning, women gather for worship, Bible study and prayer. Childcare is provided so that mothers with young children are free to participate. We look forward to seeing what God will reveal as we study His word. If you are looking for a Bible study that challenges you to grow in Christ, and includes prayer and worship, come join us each Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. If you have young children, bring them along for some great activities and fun.
August 16 – Bible Study (Genesis 24 & 25)
August 23 – No lesson due to Baby shower
August 30 – Bible Study (Genesis 26 & 27)
Ladies’ Prayer Meeting
Monday at 10am, all women are invited to meet for worship and intercessory prayer. After worship we will gather all the prayer requests and praise reports, and then we spend time seeking God for each request received. All that is required is that you come with a heart toward God and a desire to pray and intercede. If you want more information, please call Scotti Duis at the church office.
Ladies’ Annual Spring Retreat
The 2017 Women’s Retreat will be held the weekend of April 21-23, 2017. We will again gather at the beautiful Skycroft Conference Center near Frederick, MD. Details upcoming.
The Women’s Ministry also supports the practical needs of the church, such as coordination of meals for the sick, baby showers for first-time moms, and other such needs.
